| The Central Artery is gone, the
city’s core is renewing itself, and we now have an opportunity
to try to demolish the massive Government Center Garage and
redevelop the site into a new Boston landmark.
For decades the Garage has
sat at the point where the Bulfinch Triangle, North End, Fanueil
Hall, Financial District, Government Center, Beacon Hill and
West End all converge. For decades it has served as a wall
between these communities. The time has come to try to take down
this wall. |
